Family Saturday

having a snack at Northern Grounds

This past Saturday we took the morning to have some real family time.  Not rush around and entertain Anika while we get dinner together and then read books and off to bed.  Some real time together.  We started with some yoga - Anika likes cat and cow poses, most likely because we meow and moo - then some coffee and scones (for the adults) and mum-mums and water (for the baby) at Northern Grounds. We rounded out the morning with some playtime at the new park.

the swing!
Anika LOVES to swing.  She loves it so much that we usually stay at the swings for our entire time at the park.  But on Saturday we got a bit adventurous.  Miss Anika went on the new spinny thingy (which she loved and made daddy dizzy), the slide (which she loved but not as much as the spinny thingy) and finally, the chipmunk (not so much).
Loving the spinny thingy

top o' the slide (daddy's butt is stuck)
chipmunk thing - not a big fan (who rides chipmunks anyway?)
We got our first real snow that is going to stay put today - in fact, it is still snowing - so it is a good thing we took the opportunity to have some family time at the park.  Next time we venture outside Anika will need to wear her Sorrels!
