I just got back from a visit to Nelson's Resort in Crane Lake - As I heard Brenda take reservations for the summer, I thought to myself, "Shit. The wedding is in June in Ely - the entry point to most of the BWCA." Instant headache (actually more like a jaw ache. I have been clenching my jaw quite a bit lately. Dr. Jeff - my dentist - will not be happy with me.).
So I sat myself right down at the computer and started looking for a place for our guests to stay. Do you know how many fr$%k#n resorts, hotels, cabins... we have in a town this size? At least 53! My god. The town's population is 3,000. 3,000. My headache instantly started pounding again. Even if I narrow it down to places in town we have 14 hotels/cabins to choose from.
Even National Geographic had a hard time listing them all. They were so everwhelmed they limited the list to 4!
Oh man. If only. Life would be so much easier with only 4 choices. The guests will be overwhelmed! I have to hit the street and check out a few and give the guests a choice of 3.
I think I need to go ice fishing.
